Classic Grand in January
A look back at our set at The Classic Grand in January — one of our favourite rooms in Glasgow.
We played The Classic Grand in Glasgow back in January alongside Bunny and the Badfire, Lucky 38 and Nosedive. Good bill, good room.
The set
We played a mix of both EPs — leaning a bit heavier on At Best, Outnumbered given how recent it is — plus a couple of things we’ve been working on for the album. It’s always a useful reality check playing new songs live before they’re finished. A few things that seemed to work well in rehearsal became very obvious problems in front of an audience, and a couple of others surprised us by feeling more solid than expected.
What’s next
We’re back in the rehearsal room. The album is taking shape — slowly, in the way these things do — and we’re hoping to have a better idea of timelines once we’ve locked down a few more arrangements.
